What Happened to Them All?

Okay, here's another of my writing prompts. Here is the website i got it from. I hope you enjoy it. (sorry for misspelled words)

...Every year hundreds of children walked down a familiar street or ally and didn't come out the other side. After a while they were declared missing. the police and government searched and searched, but it was as if the children vanished into thin air. So, by and by, the police gave up. Date Stamp-2015. Moira sat back in shock.Could it be possible that the same thing that was happening now happened ten years ago as well? She, unlike the general population, knew where the children where going. her master took them, or rather, had them taken for him. She did not know the exact purpose they served, but it was not her place to ask.

of course now that she had this new information, perhaps it was time for answers. She, and the rest of his followers, had been under the impression that their master was still young. That he needed the children to help him grow. but if children in the twenty-tens disappeared...

No, there must be some other explanation. Her master was not cruel. He always let the children go, the fact that they didn't return was their own fault.

She kept scrolling the records, looking for evidence that she was right, that there was a logical explanation that didn't involve Him. She saw another headline and stopped.
Population Steady, Despite Recent Kidnappings 
She began to read.
Though over nine hundred children have gone missing, the population has gone up rather than down. Many elderly men and women have "turned up" at nursing home doorsteps. Nurses say the have no background, no family, and that the patients very names are called into question.
"We will continue to care for the mystery patients." Nurse Donovlon states "They are still elderly and still need us." 
Researchers say that the number of mystery elders is exactly the same as children to go missing. we will continue...

Moira had to read it four times before she understood. Nine hundred children get taken to her master, he lets them go without anyone seeing them after he's done with them, then nine hundred "mystery elders" turn up. Her master seemed to be decades old, but still appeared young.
But it wasn't- couldn't be possible. Could it?
